How we ship:

We carefully ship using the best techniques to ensure the continued health of your fish. The above picture shows clownfish in a square bottom bag, ready to ship.

    * All the bottom seams are sealed to prevent fish from getting trapped in a plastic pocket.
    * The airspace is evacuated and filled with oxygen and each bag is sealed with quadrouple bands to prevent leaks.
    * Each sealed bag is placed inside another bag with a separate quadrouple banded closure to ensure against leaks.
    * Then all bags of fish are surrounded by a third large sealed bag, a thick styrofoam chest with temperature control packs and a heavy cardboard box to protect the chest from shipping damage.

Company history
I have always loved clownfish, even before I started looking into saltwater aquaria in answer to my son's repeated requests for a reef tank.  After we set up our first display tank, he quickly lost interest, but I was completely hooked. I began to read everything in print and online that I could find, and when I came across Joyce Wilkerson's Clownfishes book, I was very intrigued.  In it, Joyce described her own adventures into clownfish breeding, and it sounded like a lot of fun for a science geek like me.

I started by learning to culture phytoplankton and rotifers, and after several failed attempts, I was successful. When a friend kindly offered to give me the eggs from his spawning pair, I jumped at the chance.  Again there were several failed attempts until I finally got the hang of it.

When my own pet clownfish began spawning in our display tank, I was thrilled, and now my own breeding pairs supply all the juvenile orange ocellaris clownfish that I raise and market today!  I am presently working on breeding other species of marine ornamentals, and may have something new to offer my customers soon!

See my pages on clownfish development and my other projects for more information.
